Pilates

Pilates is a system of over 500 controlled exercises that combines stretching and strengthening into a complete workout. The balanced blend of strength and flexibility creates long, lean muscles without bulking up. Pilates first concentration is on strengthening and stabilizing the "powerhouse"

Private Pilates

Private lessons offer you undivided attention with the instructor’s focus on your body’s needs.  Results are seen quite quickly when individual strengths and weaknesses are balanced within each movement.  Please call or e-mail the studio to schedule a private appointment.

The focus is on quality of movement therefore less reps are needed. Pilates takes a balanced approach so that no muscle group is overworked, and the body works as an efficient, holistic system in daily life. The beauty of the method is that it adapts to the participants needs whether they need to rehabilitate an injury or be challenged in a deeper way.

Mat classes are small in size (limited to nine students) and allow for personalized attention. Quality of movement is balanced with an attention to the mind/ body/ spirit connection. Classes are offered in six week sessions.  You do not need to wait until the start of a new session to join. Please call or e-mail the studio to register.
